VBS & House-to-House -- Last Day

Day Five Today was the last day for VBS and House-to-House. According to the weather forecast, we stood to have the most chance of rain. We all had in our prayers to keep the rain away....and prayers were answered. Yay! We had a day of sun. Approximately 45 kids in the morning and 95 in the afternoon. Praise the Lord! Craft - Personalized Crosses! Sponge Race! A popular game at VBS today was the sponge race! You can see that the kids enjoyed it -- some maybe too much! Even the team got in the act! Loving on Kids Gift Bags The last few years, we have been able to pass on a blessing. Dave's Mom has put together gift bags to be handed out on the last day to the kids. These bags have school supplies, toiletries, and other goodies in them. We hand them out on Thursday afternoon as the last thing we do. They are always popular! These are the only two pics I have so far. The first you can see the team taking the bags behind the kids. The second, you can see that some of the kids have them. Fiesta Tonight!! Tonight is Party Night! The Team, the Church, and the Neighborhood is invited to a Fiesta. The first pic is getting ready for the Fiesta. The local church has the Team sitting in the front a lot of people from the community. Some from our Team door visits are here also! The second pic is a couple of the children that are at the Fiesta. We should have some more pics and more information tomorrow. The Team Prayer Needs Tomorrow is the fun and shopping day for the team. While the VBS and House to House are over, the mission has just begun! Thank you for being a prayer partner for the team while we are there. In this time while on site, please pray for: The team to have a good, relaxing day but also to remain on mission and be good representatives of Christ. In the past, we've had some of our most meaningful conversations on this day! The hearts of the people who we will contact to be made ready to receive our message The hearts of the team will be ready to share the love of Jesus Pray that we can get a full refund for Dale's unused Southwest trip.
