Day Four

This morning it rained again, but VBS soldiered on!
The Morning Skit was well received!
House to House!
Even with all the rain, we've had several accept Christ, hear the true message of Christ for the first time, many asked for prayers for their family, illness, financial issues...a lot of emotion with tears. We've been very well accepted in an area that is very suspicious of outsiders and hardened to hearing the message. We all feel that the rain showed the locals that we were not afraid of getting wet and muddy and that we came to serve them.
Lunch! The image on the left (the first image) was the team's lunch on Wednesday, a very traditional family meal in Costa Rica: Arroz con pollo (rice & chicken), frijoles molidos (stir fried beans) y ensalada rusa (Russian salad of eggs, potatoes and beets). The image on the right was from a previous lunch. Are you hungry yet?

Prayer Needs

Thank you for being a prayer partner
for the team while we are there. In this time while on site, please pray for:
  • The team to be encouraged and effective in spite of the weather -- see the great report above!
  • The hearts of the people who we will contact to be made ready to receive our message
  • The hearts of the team will be ready to share the love of Jesus
  • Pray that we can get a full refund for Dale's unused Southwest trip.
  • The Translator situation worked out and we had plenty. Thanks for praying for that!
